DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE’S NEW TOWN

The next two decades will see Northstowe continue to rise from the ground-up, bringing with it an unrivalled opportunity for forward-thinking place makers and developers to play their part in shaping the future of one of the UK’s newest towns.

To support the next stage of Northstowe’s journey, Homes England is looking for developers to come on board for phases two and three to help reimagine the future of an area rich in local history and accelerate delivery of the new homes and facilities.

On completion, the new town will comprise up to 10,000 homes, along with everything you might expect from a completed town of around 30,000 people - local shops and eateries, places to work, a civic hub, around eight new schools, and spaces to get active and enjoy nature.

Phase one of this major development is nearing completion, with a thriving new resident community of around 3,000 people and 1,500 homes, as well as a primary school. There is a secondary school on phase two already, as well as a community centre already up and running.

Longstanton Park & Ride and the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway connects Northstowe easily to Cambridge Science Park, the Biomedical Campus, the world-renowned historic Cambridge City centre, and London's Kings Cross via Cambridge Station. There's also St Ives and Huntingdon to the north, and plenty to stay local for in the nearby villages of Histon, Rampton, Impington and more. The upgrade of the A14, and the new access road which connects Northstowe to Bar Hill, Cambridge, and beyond makes many journeys easier by car, too.

An engaged and unique community is already defining the identity of the emerging town through multiple community groups, events, and activities, but the entire story is not yet written. As such, there is a unique opportunity for developers to help shape it.
