Community Information

Northstowe is already a thriving community.

Many activities and events in Northstowe have been planned and delivered by the community, with the support of partner agencies including the Northstowe Community Development Officers. There are many ways to get involved in the community including volunteering at events and activities - a few examples of volunteering opportunities include helping at a newly formed youth café, supporting the local heritage society in digitalising artefacts and food bank volunteering .

Landscape architect Emily Haysom invited local residents to work with her to produce a design to guide the development of the community allotment and orchard land in Northstowe’s Western Park. The community orchard and allotments are managed by a community led group- Northstowe Horticultural Aassociation, please contact them: northstoweallotments@gmail.com
