To change the size of text on this site you can change the settings in your web browser. Go to the “View” menu and then select “Text Size” or “Zoom” to see the options available in your browser.
You can also set these options permanently in most browsers, usually in the same way as you set preferences for colours – see below for detailed instructions.
You can change the colour of the background and the text of the site. This can be particularly useful if you are using magnification technology and the white background produces an uncomfortable glare.
In Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the “Tools” menu and select “Internet Options”. Click the “Colours” button to set your preferred colours. Then click the "Accessibility" button and tick the box "Ignore colours specified on web pages".
In Mozilla Firefox, go to the “Tools” menu and select “Options”. In the “Content” section, select “Fonts & colours”.
Pages on this site are designed to meet Priority 2 accessibility checkpoints as specified by the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (this is also known as “AA” or “Double-A” compliance). Wherever possible we have conformed to Priority 3 level to maximise accessibility.
Non-HTML files downloadable from this site – for example, Microsoft Office documents or Adobe PDF files – may present accessibility problems. If you have a problem accessing these or any other information on the site, please contact us and we will try to provide the information in an appropriate format.
