Construction update - July 2015

Thursday, July 30, 2015 - 16:00

There's currently a lot going on at Northstowe by all accounts so we thought we would capture that all here in one blog before the holidays begin for most people.

The school ground is being prepared and 'earthworks' are taking place, and you may have seen the recent news about the 'turf turning' ceremony for the first building.  Here is a video construction update at the site of the new school by Andy Lawson at Gallagher.

Behind the school site the Cambridge Archaeology Unit has been busy excavating and we hope to have more to show you and an another Open Day so everyone can see what's been found.  You can see what was found last year here.

The HCA also got approval for £73 million of community facilities and planning conditions related to the planning application including a burial ground tobe brought forward in phase two.

Gallagher have also been helping Willingham Parish Council  and you can read about that here in the Cambirdge Evening News
